$GRIOT · BNB Chain

The community token at the heart of GRIOT.

$GRIOT is a fair-launch token on BNB Chain. It stands behind Project GRIOT, shares a slice of every trade with its holders in BNB, and burns supply on every trade — while learning stays free for everyone.

Every number on this page comes straight from the chain. Burned, locked, rewarded — don’t trust me, check me.

On the chain

We teach people to verify. Here is us, verified.

Module 04 tells people not to trust a claim they can check themselves. It would be strange to teach that and then ask you to take our word for anything. Every number here is read from BNB Chain when this page loads — not typed in, not updated by hand — and each one links to the same read on BscScan so you can repeat it.

Token questions

Rewards, tax, burns, locks — answered.

Hold 100,000 $GRIOT or more and your share of the fee comes to you in BNB, automatically. It follows trading, not promises — some days it’s something, some days it’s nothing.

The basics

What GRIOT is, and what it is not.

What is $GRIOT?

$GRIOT is the fair-launch community token of the GRIOT ecosystem, on BNB Smart Chain. It stands behind Project GRIOT, shares 10% of every trade’s tax with holders of 100,000+ $GRIOT in BNB, burns another 10% on every trade, and is intended to reward the people who teach and contribute — that last part is planned, not built.

You never need $GRIOT, a wallet or an account to learn, to sit the assessment, or to hold a certificate. Everything about the token — its contract, rewards and on-chain facts — is on its own page at griots.io/token.

Is $GRIOT a memecoin?

It launched on four.meme, a launchpad best known for memecoins, because that gave it a fair public launch with no presale. What it is being used to build is an education programme and an archive.

Judge it by what ships, not by where it launched.

Holder rewards (the "dividends")

How the fee share works, straight from the contract and four.meme.

Does $GRIOT pay dividends?

The contract shares part of its trading tax with holders: 10% of every tax collected is paid out, in BNB, to eligible wallets. four.meme calls this a "dividend" in its interface.

It is not a dividend in the company sense. There is no company, no profit and no promise behind it — only a rule written into the contract. How much is paid depends entirely on how much trading happens, and it can be nothing at all.

Who qualifies?

Any wallet holding at least 100,000 $GRIOT. The contract counts eligible wallets itself.

How is my share worked out?

In proportion to how many $GRIOT you hold. The contract tracks each eligible wallet's share as its balance, so a wallet holding twice as much receives twice as much of each payout.

What am I paid in?

BNB, sent to the same wallet that holds the $GRIOT.

How do I receive it? Do I have to claim?

Usually you do not have to do anything. According to four.meme, rewards are distributed automatically when you transfer tokens, and anything left unclaimed is sent to your wallet automatically every 24 hours.

You can also claim at any time yourself on the token's page at four.meme, under "View Tax Details". There is even a "Claim for Others" option that sends someone's unclaimed rewards straight to their own wallet.

How do I check what I have received?

Open the token's page on four.meme and choose "View Tax Details" — it shows your claimed and unclaimed amounts once your wallet is connected. The contract also exposes claimedFee and claimableFee for any address, readable on BscScan.

Only ever use four.meme and BscScan links you have typed or found yourself. Never connect a wallet to a "claim" site someone sent you.

Can I count on this as income?

No. Payouts come from trading tax, so they rise and fall with trading and can stop entirely. $GRIOT is a community token, not an investment, and holding it creates no expectation of profit, dividend or return.

Do I owe tax on these rewards?

That depends on where you live, and GRIOT cannot advise you. In many places crypto received is taxable. Check with your country's tax authority or a qualified adviser.

Tax, burn and supply

The token's mechanics, each one checkable on-chain.

Is there a tax when I buy or sell?

Yes. Buying carries a 1% tax and selling carries a 2% tax — separate rates, not a combined 3%. Of every tax collected, 10% is burned and 10% goes to eligible holders.

What does "burned" mean, and how much has been burned?

Burned tokens are sent to an address nobody controls, so they can never be spent again. Every trade burns a little through the tax.

Total supply still reads 1,000,000,000 because the burn works by sending tokens to that address rather than deleting them; what circulates is the supply minus the burned amount.

What is the total supply? Can more be minted?

1,000,000,000 $GRIOT, fixed at launch. There is no minting, no vesting and no unlock schedule for any team, because there is no team allocation.

How was the supply distributed?

80% was sold on a public bonding curve on four.meme, open to anyone at the same price. The other 20% was paired with the BNB raised to create PancakeSwap trading liquidity. No presale, no private round, no team allocation.

Can the liquidity be pulled?

No. 100% of the liquidity-pool tokens were burned, so nobody — not the project, not anyone — can withdraw the trading liquidity.

Can the contract be changed?

No. Ownership of the contract was renounced to the zero address, so no admin function can be called and the rules cannot be altered after the fact.

Are any tokens locked?

Yes. The wallet that created $GRIOT and several community members have locked their own tokens with PinkLock, a public third-party locker. Nobody can move a locked token before its date — including the person who locked it.

Every lock, with its amount and unlock date, is listed on this page and links to PinkLock’s own record of it.

A lock is not a burn. When a lock ends, those tokens return to their owner.

Has the creator locked their tokens?

Yes. The wallet that created the token locked the large majority of what it holds, by choice, until June 2028. Nothing required it to.

You can check it on PinkLock’s own record for the lock, linked from the list on this page.

Why do the top holders look so large?

Holder lists count contracts, not just people. The PancakeSwap pool (the trading liquidity) and the PinkLock locker both appear near the top, and neither is a person who can sell at will.

Check any address on BscScan yourself before drawing conclusions — including ours.

Safety and verifying

How to avoid being scammed in GRIOT's name.

What is the official contract address?

It is published on griots.io, which is the only official source. Always copy it from there yourself and compare every character — scammers make addresses that match at the start and end.

Where does $GRIOT trade?

$GRIOT trades on PancakeSwap on BNB Smart Chain, and through any BNB Chain exchange or aggregator that routes to that liquidity. This site does not sell tokens, connect wallets or recommend buying.

Is GRIOT listed on CoinGecko?

Risk and the fine print

The parts nobody likes to read, and everybody should.

Is $GRIOT an investment?

No. $GRIOT is a fair-launch community token. Holding it creates no expectation of profit, dividend or return, and nothing on this site is financial or legal advice.

Can I lose money?

Yes. Token prices can fall to zero, trades cannot be reversed, and mistakes like sending to the wrong address or network are usually permanent. Never put in money you need.
